Bill joined Maxcorp in 1978 to do US Govt/Treasury repos and for 7 years was the repo broker for Salomon Brothers and John Merriwether. Bill moved to London in 1987 to run the Asset Liabilty group for RZB-Austria before joining ICAP to run the Italian swaps book with Michael Spencer. Michael Bloomberg then got Bill to work for him to run in house training , before he become known as “ Bill on the Bloomberg Big Board “ . Bill has also given his market opinions on FOX, CNBC and BBC . Since “retiring” in 2006 Bill has completed a 250 page market research report “ Financialization of Commodities for the IFR/ThompsonReuters and is still a regular commentator on financial TV programs.
