We regret to inform you that Foreign Currency Innovations Limited (FCIL) has agreed to cease offering clients the ability to trade CFDS.

Following consultation with the FCA, on 20 February 2023, FCIL applied to the FCA for a number of requirements to be imposed on FCIL and its business. Following this application, the FCA placed these requirements on FCIL’s permission (these available for review on the Financial Services Register here). These requirements include requirements that FCIL cease regulated activities and continue to hold client monies as follows:

1) FOREIGN CURRENCY INNOVATIONS LIMITED (FCIL) must not conduct any regulated activities except with the Authority’s prior written consent or in order to undertake actions necessary to comply with requirements 2) to 3) below.

2) By 15.00GMT 24 February 2023, FCIL must close all open trading positions held by it, whether on its own account or on account of its clients and require any monies held by third parties in connection with FCIL’s trading activities, to be returned to FCIL.

3) FCIL must continue to hold all client money segregated for clients pursuant to the client money rules and hold cash representing any monies due to clients who contract with the firm pursuant to title transfer collateral arrangements (TTCA). FCIL must not, without the prior written consent of the Authority, make payments of any of the monies representing these balances to clients, whether segregated client monies or TTCA.
